Question:
Has anyone been successful in getting a civil court order for payment of
child support monies owed and/or owing? My child's father has missed a
year of payments now and shows no interest in even communicating on the
topic. We have no court-ordered agreement, only a civil agreement drawn
up by a lawyer which we both signed.
I'd love to hear other's stories and recommendations.

I'm not a big fan of the child support system (yes, I do pay support) but
the system is design for knucklesheads like the person you are dealing
with. I feel personally that if 2 ppl can work out their situtation
without (bias) judges/courts then they would be better off. It sucks
that the other party is not Man enough to stick by his word nor MAN
enough to take of his child w/o the input from a court. But granted he
will probaly be here on the boards in about 1 yr crying how the courts
